Exercise More Often

Make it your daily responsibility to find ways to get your body in motion. This is one of the best ways for a healthy lifestyle.

  • Maybe you can choose to climb stairs instead of using the elevator.
  • Go on a brisk walk to the park with your children or your dog; play with your kids;
  • do some fun activities with friends,
  • do some healthy gardening, this also gives back to the Earth.

By Doing any activity that moves your arms and legs is not only a tool for exercise, but is a stress reliever. No we are not talking spending an hour in the gym or a doing an intense 45-minute dance class or running a marathon. Hey if you feel up to that! Just do it!


Don’t Eat All That unhealthy Food

Eat Healthy Foods. Try and avoid all of those fast food meals like

  • fried foods,
  • burgers
  • fatty meats such as (i.e. pork, bacon, ham, salami, ribs and sausage).

If you are going to do it, consume dairy products such as cheeses and milk should only be eaten in the low fat variety.Limited your amounts of things like sandwich meats, mayo, margarine, butter and cream sauces. Its really not that hard because most are available in a lower fat version. A healthy lifestyle begins with a health diet!

Easier said than done, stress busters come in many forms. Some techniques recommended by experts are to think positive thoughts. Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like. (i.e.,Soak in a hot tub; walk on the beach or in a park; read a good book; visit a friend; play with your dog; listen to soothing music; watch a funny movie. Get a massage, a facial or a haircut. Meditate. Count to ten before losing your temper or getting aggravated. Avoid difficult people when possible. Thought for the day: When seeing red, think pink clouds….then float on them.

Protect Yourself from Unhealthy Pollution

Pollution exposure can cause heart rate variability to decline, which is a risk factor for problems including cardiac arrhythmia and heart attack.

This is a tough thing to follow, If you can’t find yourself living in a smog-free environment, at least try to avoid areas of smoke-filled rooms, stay away from high traffic areas of cities and towns, try to avoid breathing in toxic highway fumes and running or exercising near busy byways or streets.

Make sure that you only exercise outside when the current smog index is at a low. Exercising indoors in an air conditioned room when air quality is good will also boost your health exercise routine. Plant lots of shrubbery in your yard. It’s a good pollution and dirt from the street deterrent. ‘Smoke gets in your eyes’…and your mouth, and your nose and your lungs as do pollutants.

Hey don’t get me wrong, I like to have a glass of wine now and then(in moderation), its got good anti-oxidants in it. Recent medical studies have shown that a glass of wine or a beer day (two for men….lol) can help protect oneself against the killer heart disease.

Now I know it can be a tough call, but any more than that can cause some seroius health problems from the likes of liver and kidney disease and some forms of cancer. Unsafe drinking patterns increase their r risk for injury, illness or future alcohol problems. And, for 1 in 13 American adults, alcohol abuse or alcohol dependence (alcoholism) causes substantial harm to their health and disruption in their lives.

Your Mental Outlook Should Be A Positive One

It has been proven before that living well and healthfully and having a cheerful outlook on life is directly connected. Where ever you are, be happy in life, your alive, the miracle is all around. smile more, laugh a lot, sing a tune, your beautiful!

There is a direct link between genetics and health. This does not mean that because your family has a history of “bad” genetics doesn’t mean you cannot reverse the familial gene pool handed down to you. By following these basic tips for living a healthy lifestyle and you can better control your own destiny.
